Good Commercial
I think the girl in this commercial is quite cute, But some parts were a bit confusing. Still, It's a good commercial, Typical of the time.

apple tree
First off...why? Why an apple tree? Who goes around giving trees to people as gifts? The husband doesn't know his wife as well as he should, because the obvious choice of birthday present to this (very) young lady is SEVERAL MORE BARS OF IVORY to keep her skin YOUNG AND FRESH AND NATURAL-LOOKING! And they must have shot it on a fairly still day because the film is also reversed back and forth to show how the wind whips through her hair. GREAT commercial.

Pesky kids!
A wife, who gets an APPLE TREE from her husband on her anniversary because she's not 'the glamorous type'. (wow)... That's because she uses Ivory soap! Pretty preposterous ad. Watch how they simulate 'wind' by reversing and forwarding the film. (clever). Favorite moment: When the kids start acting up in the (huge) back yard, the woman turns around and uses the hose on them! HAHAHAHA! Reccomended!

The Ivory ad
The woman finally washes in the shower, with her hair up in a bun, lathered face of course. She rinses the lather off, without ruining her hair in the process.

Ivory Soap
A typical late 60's/early 70's commercial.
An actress (age around 23-25 yrs.) who already
has 3 children, first complains that her husband
bought her an apple tree for her birthday, apparently not seeing any "worth" in it, such as
the apple tree living throughout her life, her
childrens' and her grand childrens' lives.
Nope, as she's telling everyone how "natural
looking" she is, she takes the garden hose and
squirts her older son & daughter.
Moral: Don't buy your wife an apple tree for
her birthday.
